Game Flow 1

So I’ve started to make a flow for the game, or at least without a theme or a topic to use, I’m really only able to go so far and go for the basics.

Making the basic game flow make sense in this way where the player starts in a Hub area where they are always able to return to so when the player starts off they have a choice to make, whether to go into three different rooms, where each room will have a theme however, once the player opens one room they aren’t able to go to another room until they’ve completed that room.

The player must find the main artefact to interact with in the room, complete it and then they receive a key to unlock another room, from there they can proceed to any other room and then once they open that room the other will remain locked until they complete the room. This would be the loop of the virtual museum game. The player will have that puzzle based progression to get to the next level and once completed the idea from there would be to introduce a layer or replayability. In this case I want to create a Hi-Score like system which the player can then compete against other players aswell but this has to be executed in a certain way. What I mean by that is the points earned have to relatively push educational content but again this would be dependant on the theme.
