Time to Brainstorm pt.2 (Team-Talk Game Design Final Project)
Since our last talk, we all collectively decided to have another meeting to fully comprehend how these mechanics for the game were going to work. We already settled on a creating a puzzle game which means looking ino the ujnderstanding of puzzle design, but again one problem remained, WHAT WILL BE OUR MECHANIC?
Our mechanic for now was to do woith electricity and my thoughts were to create a method for it expell the electrical energy, but than a thought came to mind, how about our character can both absorb and expell electrical energy, thankfully Arun on the team also considered this concept as well as discussed it during our talk which made things much easier to explain. Pratik, however was thinking of something different, not in terms of mechanics, but in terms of the world we are building which I never considered properly. Reasons are because I was just trying to push the mechanic for our puzzle game.
He suggested something to do woith neurons and being inside the brain and using that concept however consider we already did something similar with the previous project, it was a nice idea but something I didn’t want to revisit which I did express to him, but nevertheless it was idea that we had rather than nothing.
Still preparing our next meeting to finalise what each of us is to focus on.
So far our basic mechanic for the game: Electrical Energy can be absorbed, and can be expelled, but it is unknown whether this will be because of an instrument/tool that causes this to happen or supernatrual powers
