Prototype Level Designs Pt 2 (Final Game Design Project
Using the drawings I’ve made from the previous sktechs of levels, I took the time to finish it off and also make some colour coding or visual representation for the player or at least even me to know which function does what. So when coding the game, at least it’s nice to understand.
Another thing to make it easier for anyone also is that I expressed and compiled all of these things differently in the hierachy so that way I know how this first level will work out and this is how it looks:
As you can now, I’ve managed to add some more colours to the map so not we can identify, what’s what. In terms of a legend to follow, this is probably the best example I can give in this case, where these various coloured objects actually make a difference for the game as such:
The Red Box is an Empty Post which the player needs to shoot the electricity to
The Green Box is an Active Post which the player needs to absorb the electricity from
The Yellow block is basically the door the player needs to open
And the Blue block, is just a random type of door, which serves no purpose
